DESIGN FUTURES LAB
HEALTH TRANSLATION HUB SIMULATION CENTRE
Step inside the Health Translation Hub’s state-of-the-art Simulation Centre and discover how immersive simulation is transforming health professional education and clinical training. Participants will take an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of purpose-built clinical environments, including an operating theatre scrub bay, critical care room, adult ward, paediatric and birthing simulators.

Drop-in sessions
Get hands-on with the art and science of clinical simulation in these interactive workshops focused on Bleeding & Haemorrhage and Wounds, Bruises & Grazes. Participants will explore how moulage techniques and simulated materials can transform a basic scenario into a realistic clinical experience, creating authentic-looking injuries, wounds and bleeding for education and assessment.

SYDNEY INSTITUTE OF MARINE SCIENCE - SIMS
PAID EXTRA WORKSHOP - (inc. Transport + Lunch) - Day before conference (1st Dec.)
This event will include a tour of SIMS research facilities and an overview of current research and conservation initiatives. Presentation and discussion will cover the historical and modern applications of marine research, current SIMS research projects, the Institute’s unique facilities and the research outcomes they enable.
MARK WAINWRIGHT ANALYTICAL CENTRE'S (MWAC) ADVANCED X-RAY IMAGING FACILITY
Join us for an exclusive tour of UNSW's Advanced X-ray Imaging Facility and see how cutting-edge X-ray micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) uncovers the internal structure of everything from Tim Tams and Kinder Surprises to advanced engineering materials, batteries, rocks and biological samples.

UNSW MUSEUM OF HUMAN DISEASE
Join us for a unique tour of the UNSW Museum of Human Disease, Australia's only publicly accessible medical pathology collection. Home to more than 1,500 human tissue specimens generously donated for education, the Museum offers a fascinating insight into the biology of disease and the remarkable advances in medicine, pathology and public health.

AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL FABRICATION FACILITY (ANFF) CLEANROOMS
The ANFF cleanrooms provide open-access fabrication facilities, training, and expertise focused on micro and nano chip fabrication.
Time: 4th December - 10:30 to 12pm, 20 minutes per session

HELIUM LIQUEFIER FACILITY - SUPPLYING THE WORLDS COLDEST CRYOGEN
Our plant generates 10,000's L/year of liquid helium to researchers in areas supporting Quantum Technology, Material Science and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, as well as several Quantum Computing start-ups on campus. A tour will be given by the liquefier manager on how helium gas at room temperature is purified, cooled to 4.2K (-269 °C), supplied to users in vacuum insulated mobile Dewars and reused via our helium gas recovery system in a closed cycle.
Time: 4th December - 10:30 to 11:00am and 11:30 to 12pm, 25 minutes per session
